We are currently seeking a high-energy Senior Tax Manager with a future partnership opportunity to work in our Long Island location
Responsibilities
- Provide clients with tax guidance regarding planning and compliance. Implement tax strategies that align with clients' business objectives, corporate tax, pass-through entities, S Corps and industry focus;
- Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations;
- Build client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business;
- Develop and guide staff and other junior tax professionals by providing effective performance feedback and aligning team responsibilities with skills and developmental goals;
- Enhance technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and applying them to moderately complex situations;
- Demonstrate professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work products;
- Contribute to overall team success by developing a thorough understanding of Grassi methods and tools to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
To qualify, candidates must have:
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry;
- Bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in accounting;
- Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant tax experience, or equivalent experience in business or industry;
- CPA certification;
- Broad exposure to federal income taxation;
- Excellent managerial, organizational and analytical skills;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to implement strategic solutions;
- Self-starter with strong abilities to multi-task.

Audit Seniors and Supervisors

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Planning and executing day-to-day activities of client engagements;
- Preparation and analysis of financial statements;
- Identifying and communicating technical issues to managers and partners;
- Evaluation of internal controls;
- Identifying performance-improvement opportunities for clients;
- Interaction with client personnel;
- Training and supervision of juniors; delegation, as appropriate; and performance evaluations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience for senior position, five years for supervisor position;
- Excellent project management and analytical skills;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to implement strategic solutions;
- Self-starter with strong abilities to multi-task;
- Supervisory experience a must;
- Familiarity with ePace a plus;
- Corporate tax experience a plus.

- Interaction with client personnel.
