“In the time we've worked with Grassi & Co., they have not only been able to gain an understanding of our business, but they have also been able to find cutting-edge solutions that have helped our company significantly improve our bottom line.”

Barry Rosenberg, President, Econoco Corp.

News at the Firm

Grassi & Co. completed a very successful 2009 and is looking to surpass that success in 2010. The firm has relocated to Jericho, grown in size and expanded our service capabilities so we can become more of a resource to our clients and friends.  In 2010, the firm has added two partners and fifteen staff to our Long Island headquarters. Our Manhattan office has grown with the addition of three new partners and seven additional staff members.  In New Jersey, we have added a partner and four staff members to help expand our reach. We are continuing to build the firm for the future; with a staff of 150, we are helping clients right-size their businesses in this challenging economic environment. Grassi & Co. is always looking for new opportunities and new team members, so please keep us in mind.

A number of new partners have been added over the past few months.  New healthcare audit partner Stephen McClelland, leader of the institutional healthcare niche practice, joined the firm in 2009.  New audit partner Eric Martinez joined the firm, adding another experienced and established partner to the team for 2010.  In January, five new partners joined the Grassi partner group: Steven Goldstein, Carmine Minieri, and Alan Silverstein in the New York office; Nick Magone in the New Jersey office; and David Rottkamp, the leader of Grassi's not-for-profit niche practice, in our Jericho headquarters.

The firm has ambitious goals and plans for the future. We intend to continue on our path to double in the next five years-which will require our team to continuously expand and improve. The Accounting industry is constantly evolving and we are always on top of new developments-something that separates Grassi & Co. from other accounting firms. Another goal of the firm is to improve our client service. Servicing our clients is extremely important to us; we are a service organization. If you have feedback or ideas about how we can better serve our clients, we welcome them.

Our presence in the marketplace is expanding. Our website is constantly updated, and our e-newsletter, The Grassi Advisor, is read by thousands of friends of the firm (sign up here). We will continue to utilize these tools to improve the quality of communication with our clients and friends. We look forward to working with you toward many great successes in the future.
