Awards & Accolades

The past year saw another set of honors for our New York-based accounting and consulting firm as well as for our individual team members.

Below are just some of our 2012 awards and honors that separate us from the rest of the accounting and consulting firms in New York:

Inside Public Accounting
Grassi & Co. was ranked the 83^rd Largest Accounting Firm in the Nation and was designated one of the Fastest Growing Top 100 Firms in by INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA).  With more than 400 firms considered, IPA annually compiles a list of the Nation’s 100 largest accounting firms—providing a snapshot of the financial and operational health of the largest firms in the country and reflecting the “state of the union” of the accounting profession. Additionally, Grassi & Co., for the seventh year in a row has been recognized by IPA as one of the Best of the Best Firms – a recognition only three other firms in the country have received. 

HIA-LI

Grassi & Co. was selected by the HIA-LI as the 2012 Business Achievement Award Winner in the Large Business Category.  The honor is awarded to firms based on their commitment to the growth or betterment of the Long Island business community, positive employer/employee relations, positive revenue and profitability trends, and future company vision.

Best Companies Group

Again for 2012, Grassi & Co. was ranked among the Best Companies to Work For in New York State. Grassi & Co. was ranked #7 out of 26 companies in the Small/Medium Employers category. This award demonstrates that happy employees make for good business and drive the Empire state’s economy.

Crain’s New York Business

Grassi & Co. was recognized by Crain’s New York Business in their first-annual “Fast 50” list. The list ranked Grassi & Co. as #39 of the top 50 privately-held companies in the New York Metropolitan Area based on revenue growth from 2008 through 2011, with minimum 2011 revenues of $20 million.

New York Enterprise Report

Grassi and Co. was presented with two awards this year at the New York Enterprise Report Privately Held Companies Awards Ceremony.  John Pellitteri, CPA, Partner, Grassi & Co.’s Healthcare Management Consulting Practice Leader and Accounting Services Practice Leader was presented with the Accounting Industry Practice of the Year for his work servicing clients in the Healthcare Industry. Partner-in-Charge of Grassi & Co.’s Business Advisory Practice, Geri A. Gregor, CPA, was honored with the Accounting Service Area Firm of the Year Award for Grassi & Co.’s work in regards to Business Advisory and Litigation Support Services.
