Geri A. Gregor, CPA

 

Geri Gregor is Partner-in-Charge of Grassi & Co.’s Business Advisory Practice. Geri manages and directs the Firm in areas such as business advisory services, forensic and litigation support, and risk management. Her broad experience in demanding accounting and financial operations roles had led to great financial success for many clients. Geri’s experience ranges over a wide variety of service areas including contract monitorship, cost reporting, audits of unallowable costs, best practices, internal control compliance, and DBE and MWBE compliance.

Prior to joining Grassi & Co., Geri held several prominent positions with notable companies. She started her career at KPMG, and afterwards took a position with Imrex, LLC, a privately held defense contractor with facilities across the United States. Promoted several times during her career at Imrex, Geri was eventually appointed Assistant Vice President of Finance, where she was responsible for executing several acquisitions totaling over $50 million in assets, streamlining the manufacturing operations resulting in annualized savings of $2 million and managing all financial activities of three remote locations.

Geri later joined DOAR Litigation Consulting, one of the largest litigation consulting firms in the country, as Chief Financial Officer, focusing on the development of their financial portfolio and internal accounting processes. Under her guidance, DOAR obtained private and public funding in excess of $65 million, enabling the firm to double its workforce and to open satellite offices in New York City and Washington, D.C. After DOAR, Geri served as Chief Financial Officer for Great Performances/Artists as Waitresses Inc., an innovative culinary catering company, where she oversaw and advised on all financial operations.

Extremely active in the business networking and philanthropic arena, Geri currently serving on the Board of Directors for the ACE Mentor Program and the Education & Assistance Corporation, she served on the boards of the Long Island Business Development Council, the Girl Scouts of Nassau County (“GSNC”), and was a founding board member of the Sylvia Center. She was named one of Long Island’s Rising Stars under the age of 40 and one of Long Island’s Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business by Long Island Business News. In 2009, the Women Builders Council recognized Geri as one of their “Outstanding Women.” In 2010, Geri was named as a “Top Woman in Business” by the Queens Courier and Queens Business magazine and received the “Making a Difference for Women” award from Soroptimist International of Nassau County. Geri is also a member of the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).

Geri is a graduate of Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
