Alice H. Varisano, CPA Joins Expanding Grassi & Co.

March 18, 2011 – Alice H. Varisano, CPA is the newest additions to Jericho-based Grassi & Co.  Alice has joined Grassi & Co.’s Tax Practice as Partner-in-Charge of Tax Services.  Her joining strengthens the company’s already formidable Tax Practice as Grassi & Co. continues its expansionary efforts in 2011.

Ms. Varisano comes to Grassi & Co. with eighteen years of experience working for Big 4 firms, followed by six years working as the CFO of a publicly traded international manufacturing and distribution company.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), and she earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. John’s University and her Master of Science in Taxation from CW Post.

She has been practicing for more than 25 years and has extensive experience in domestic and international taxation for both closely held and public companies.  In addition, she is adept at handling taxation of high-net-worth individuals, personal financial and estate planning, business/program analysis, budgeting, cost reduction/control, continuous process improvement, and staff development.  As a former CFO of a public company, she is also acquainted in detail with SEC reporting rules, financial and tax transactional analysis, and continuous cost reduction and business process improvement.  Her work extends across a variety of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, and retail and consumer products.
