Elizabeth Gousse Ballotte is a Principal within the Not-for-Profit Practice area and Leader of the new Grant Compliance Services team at Grassi & Co. She has more than 15 years of operational and organizational consulting and management experience and specializes in developing and performing grant compliance reviews, new business initiatives, internal control reviews and M&A implementations. She has experience in federal grant compliance, benefits analysis, financial analysis and research.
Prior to joining Grassi, Liz was affiliated with another mid-sized accounting and consulting firm in New York and prior to that, a consulting firm in Boston, Massachusetts, where she served as Vice President.
Her engagements have required her to perform internal control reviews, operational assessments and grant compliance monitoring on a national scale. Liz has specifically been involved with engagements that review the processes and controls in the areas of: organization and operational reviews, grant monitoring and administration, due diligence reviews, cash management, payroll and time reporting, accounts payable and financial reporting.
Liz has co-authored several articles including: “Tapping into the Nonprofit Next Generation: Pitfalls and Best Practices for Engaging Millennials at Your Nonprofit” and “Fundraising Goes Digital—Why Nonprofits Are Adding Crowdfunding Platforms to Their Giving Strategies”. Both articles were published in NonProft Pro. She was also published in EXEMPT Magazine in an article entitled: “Talking Board Audits: 10 Critical Questions Board Members Should Ask”.
