Anthony Mirdita is a Consulting Director at Grassi Healthcare Advisors. He has more than 24 years of experience in financial management leadership in the full spectrum of healthcare sectors. As a former Chief Financial Officer for acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and medical practices, Anthony brings deep industry expertise to every consulting engagement.

At Grassi Healthcare Advisors, Anthony leads the development and execution of business transformation plans and turnaround strategies for distressed nursing homes, senior living facilities, medical practices and ambulatory surgery centers. His areas of expertise also include financial modeling and analysis, financial reporting systems and technology automation.

Prior to joining Grassi, Anthony was the CFO for the Physician Affiliate Group of New York, one of the most comprehensive and highly integrated not-for-profit healthcare systems within the tristate area. As a member of the executive leadership team, he oversaw the financial operations of over $850 million in annual revenues and led the organization’s strategic planning, capital and debt structure, revenue enhancement, philanthropy, and information technology systems. Anthony was pivotal in the innovation and execution of the PAGNY Health and Research Foundation (PHRF), for which he was later appointed CFO.

Previously, Anthony served as the CFO at Somers Orthopedics Surgery & Sports Medicine Group, PLLC, Health Quest (now Nuvance Health) and Florence Nightingale Health Center & Niagara Rehab and Nursing Center. He gained additional leadership experience in financial management roles at New York City Health and Hospital Corporation and the Weiler/Einstein Hospital – Montefiore Medical Center.

Anthony consistently gives back to the healthcare and nonprofit communities. He has served on the Board of Directors as Finance Chair for Cove Care since 2011. He is a former board member for the Visiting Nurse Association of Hudson Valley, United Way of Westchester – Putnam Chapter, the Salvation Army Advisory Board for Putnam County, and the former chair of the Long-Term Care Committee (HFMA), Hudson Valley Chapter.

Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from Fordham University and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Long Island University. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at Long Island University and Mercy College.
