Evan Fox is a Partner and the Firm’s Real Estate Tax Practice Leader. He has over a decade of experience, serving clients with a broad mix of operations, including residential, nonprofit, commercial, retail, hospitality, mixed use, and infrastructure. Evan has extensive experience in transactional consultation and financial analysis for acquisitions/sales, joint ventures, UPREIT formation, mergers, spin-offs, reorganizations, and financings. Evan’s expertise also includes REITs and Qualified Opportunity Zone funds. Additionally, Evan has worked with clients in the affordable housing sector.
Evan has been quoted by CNBC, Bloomberg Tax, and various other publications for timely tax insights into law changes or novel issues.
Evan is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State and is an admitted member of the New York State Bar (1st Department), as well as the United States Tax Court. Evan has been recognized among the real estate industry’s “Ones to Watch” and “Commercial Real Estate Visionaries” by the New York Real Estate Journal.
Evan earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, Doctor of Law Degree from Brooklyn Law School and his Master of Laws, Taxation from New York University.
