James P. Ferrone, CPA, PSA, CGMA Director
James Ferrone is a Director at Grassi and brings more than 20 years of experience in public accounting to the firm. Jim specializes in audits, compilations, reviews, tax support and management advisory services for nonprofit organizations and family-owned businesses in the manufacturing and professional services industries. Jim has expertise in the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) standards and Yellow Book/Uniform Guidance auditing.
Prior to the firm merging with Grassi, Jim was a Director at Gramkow, Carnevale, Seifert, & Co., LLC. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey and New York.
Jim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA). He is a past president of the Essex County Chapter of the NJSCPA and has served on several of its committees. Jim remains active in industry associations and has been asked to speak and write on nonprofit and ERISA issues.
Jim is dedicated to giving back to his local community as well. He is an Eagle Scout and serves on the executive board of the Northern New Jersey Council of the Boy Scouts of America, where he is the chair of the endowment committee. He is also the Director of the Erskine Lakes Property Owners Association.
Jim earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. Thomas Aquinas College.
